The Hertz MP 300 D2.3 subwoofer provides high performance with small dimensions, offering maximum sound experience using some of the technologies and materials usually used in higher-end products.

The cone of the MP 300 D2.3 subwoofer is made by pressing cellulose with injection of mineral powders (the same construction technique used for the Legend series) and has greater rigidity thanks to the V-cone® profile, allowing the cone to function as a piston.

The structure of the Hertz MP 300 D2.3 sub is designed with Boundary Free Surround which guarantees a wider cone emission surface than speakers with the same diameter. In this way, the cone is able to move a larger mass of air and the edges, made of highly pure IIR butyl rubber, ensure extraordinary thermal and mechanical linearity; furthermore, the compact 6-spoke anti-resonant aluminum alloy basket contributes to the damping total mechanics of the subwoofer, resulting absolutely transparent to the sound.

The 65 mm four-layer voice coil with a height of over 60 mm, wound in a TIL-P former, guarantees high linear excursions. The 2 Ω + 2 Ω DVC impedance configuration increases versatility for perfect pairing with any amplifier. The particular air cooling and decompression system has allowed us to avoid the central hole on the bottom plate with a triple advantage:

Improved thermal inertia to ensure low operating temperatures during musical transients

Maximization of the magnetic field induced by the coil with the same size of the motor, because a greater quantity of iron in the pole reduces the magnetic saturation by making the most of the flux density generated by the magnet

Possibility of installing the subwoofer flush against the wall of the box, making full use of the installation depth. A damping rubber disc, supplied as an accessory, allows the subwoofer to be attached to the box and to guarantee air exchange in the 10 decompression holes on the lower side
